- Listen to the babbling brook running through Parks Mill, an authentic eighteenth-century, water-powered, grist mill still in operation. Purchase the freshly-milled corn meal, grits and other wholesome products produced by the traditional process used at Parks Mill for more than 220 years. Write your name on the bag, and leave with the store operators. Your purchase will be waiting for you upon our return to Bristol on Wednesday.
- Are your taste buds ready for our Vineyard stop? Test your knowledge of Virginia wines at the Abingdon Vineyard & Winery. Make a purchase – have it delivered on Wednesday.
- Take the Creeper Trail option to Damascus, “Trail Town USA”. Your choice: a trail or road ride today? To rent a mountain bike visit our Bike Selection page.
- Choo-choo! Today we visit the future site of the Alvarado Train Depot. Once a stop along the Creeper Railroad, it is now a break along the Creeper Trail.
