- Enjoy picturesque views along the Holston River Valley and Dam. The Holston Dam took 8 years to build and was completed in 1950. Constructed of earth and rock fill, it stands 285 feet high and spans 1,600 feet across.
- Take a break from your bike and stroll across the Holston River footbridge to Osceola Island. Listen to the stillness of nature along the one-mile-loop wildlife trail. Look for the waterfowl, deer and other wildlife.
- Be dazzled by the arched, lighted sign marking the Virginia-Tennessee border. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Bristol is “A good place to live.”
- Take the Bike Virginia Shuttle Bus to the Bluegrass Museum and the birthplace of Tennessee Ernie Ford.
