There are multiple options on this day. You can ride the pink route to Damascus for lunch and then head back to Abingdon. If you are looking for a longer ride, add the scenic green routes and/or the orange route to the beautiful Shady Valley.  Another option is to ride the famous Creeper Trail. Although the Creeper Trail is a relatively flat ride, the surface is not appropriate for road bikes. You have two options to ride the Creeper Trail.

Option 1:

Take the Red Route (trail route) to pick up the trail in Abingdon and cycle to Damascus. Taking this option will not allow enough time for you to cycle to White Top and back (and, it's a steep climb from Damascus to White Top)! Want a leisurely day - take this option!

Option 2:

You can use a shuttle service to start at the beginning of the trail and ride from White Top to Damascus on the trail and then take the Red Route (trail route) back to Tent City. The Shuttle Service will pick you up at Tent City and take you and a mountain bike to White Top. You will cycle back to Tent City where the shuttle service will pick up your rental bike.

Tuesday evening

The prepaid dinner plan will be served at Stonewall Square, the green of the Barter Theatre. Enjoy a stroll through downtown Abingdon and enjoy the American Dream Town 2006!
