Where Do I Park?
Parking is limited at Bike Virginia City in Roanoke, so we
must ask ALL motelers to park in the designated PINK lots
at Victory Stadium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Don’t
worry; we’ll get you back and forth to Bike Virginia
City (if you are flying into Roanoke, please contact Kim Berry
at 757-229-0507 or info@bikevigrinia.org to schedule transportation
from your hotel to Bike Virginia City for Friday (Registration),
Saturday morning and Sunday morning. All other needs for transportation
will be provided by Bike Virginia Shuttle Buses. Please read
your Tour Book for a complete Shuttle Bus Schedule). So here’s
how your logistics will work:
FRIDAY:
We will have two parking locations in Roanoke – (1)
Victory Stadium and (2) Bike Virginia City. All directions
will take everyone to Victory stadium on Friday – just
follow the Pink Bike Virginia arrows from 5-81. [Directions
| Valley Byways Tour] Upon arrival at Victory Stadium, Bike
Virginia parking volunteers will be onsite to help direct
traffic. As you make your right turn onto Reserve Ave. motelers
will be directed to Victory Stadium parking lots (Pink) and
campers will continue straight to Bike Virginia City (Green).
Campers follow the directions and Pink Bike Virginia arrows
to Victory Stadium. Once you reach Reserve Ave you will continue
straight (please let the parking volunteers know you are a
camper) to Bike Virginia City (Green). At Bike Virginia City,
we will park as many campers as possible. Once our capacity
is met at the Bike Virginia City parking lots, campers will
overflow to Victory Stadium. If you are asked to park in the
overflow lots at Victory Stadium, a valet service will be
provided at no charge to ensure that your luggage/gear and
bikes will be transported to Bike Virginia City while you
park your car.
Motelers will park in the PINK lots provided at Victory Stadium.
Bike Virginia will provide Shuttle Bus service from Victory
Stadium to Bike Virginia City at James Madison Middle School
from 1:00pm – 8:00pm. This will provide you the opportunity
to register, attend orientation, and check out the BVA store
and Expo.
All RV’s and Personal SAGs will follow Bike Virginia
arrows from Victory Stadium to Bike Virginia City at James
Madison Middle School. Designated parking lots will be held
for RV’s and Personal SAG’s. Please follow the
directions of our parking volunteers to McNeil Drive and refer
to our Bike Virginia City maps for additional information.
SATURDAY:
Campers will already be at Bike Virginia City. Your car is
already parked for the week. So all you need to do is to wakeup
and ride. Saturday Arrivals will follow the directions and
Pink Bike Virginia arrows to Victory Stadium in Roanoke as
provided on our website at Directions | Valley Byways Tour
and continue straight (please let the parking volunteers know
you are a camper) to Bike Virginia City.
Motelers will drive their cars (with their bikes) to Victory
Stadium and then bike the Pink Arrows that will route you
by Bike Virginia City. When you return on Saturday afternoon,
drive back to your motel with your bike and park your car
for the evening. There will be Saturday evening Shuttle Bus
service between all BVA motels and (1) Downtown Roanoke and
(2) Mill Mountain.
SUNDAY:
Campers will already be at Bike Virginia City. Your car is
already parked for the week. So all you need to do is to wakeup
and ride.
Motelers will drive their cars (with their bikes) to Victory
Stadium where long-term parking will be provided. Simply park
your car, mount your bike, and you’re off!
