Key West Band to play at Bike Virginia

Luau at the Virginia Horse Center

Don't forget to pack your hawaiian shirt and grass skirt! The luau festivities will include beach volleyball, limbo contests, a beer and wine garden and live entertainment to put you in the tropical frame of mind.

The featured entertainment will be the high-energy, Caribbean influenced music of The Key West Band. Voted the number one party band by the Roanoke Times and Best Local Band of 1997 and 2000 by Roanoke Magazine, The Key West Band has opened for national acts including The Tams, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Kingsmen, Jan and Dean, The Box Tops and Cravin' Melon.

With a large supply of Jimmy Buffett songs as well as Reggae, Creole, Latin and original songs The Key West Band will turn the last night of our Valley Byways Tour into an island party.

 

Theater at Lime Kiln Presents: Sing Down the Moon

Theater at Lime Kiln will offer 2 play nights to Bike Virginia participants. They will offer Sing Down the Moon on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m. for a discounted ticket price of $12 per person.

Sing Down the Moon is a collection of Appalachian wonder tales put to music from the award winning team from Washington, DC. Winner of six Helen Hayes awards including Best New Musical! Come out for a night of music with fun and familiar "Jack Tales."

Hot-Air Balloon Rides

Hot-air balloon rides on Bike Virginia

 

Float quietly over beautiful Rockbridge County. Relax with a ride in a hot-air balloon - the experience of a lifetime.

Rides will go up near sunrise and near sunset when the winds are quietest, and always with the condition of "weather permitting." Balloon rides available Sunday evening and Monday and Tuesday a.m. and p.m. Balloons will most likely take off near tent city and riders will be returned to the same location.

Cost will be $165 per person. Rides last approximately one hour. Contact the Lexington-Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce at 540-463-5375for more information and to make a reservation.
