Roanoke
Star and Overlook
A historic landmark
touted as one of the world's largest man-made stars, and was
built as a community spirited project atop Mill Mountain and
in operation since November 25, 1949. The site is Roanoke's
best-known landmark, with breathtaking overlooks of the Valley
below.
FREE
admission with Bike Virginia registration.
Cyclists
must arrive by BVA shuttle buses. Personal cars prohibited.
Mill
Mountain Zoo
On
top of Roanoke's Mill Mountain, off the Blue Ridge Parkway
and alongside the famous Roanoke Star, is an AZA accredited
3.5 acre zoo exhibiting 55 plus species of mammals, birds
and reptiles. Animals include a Siberian Tiger, Snow Leopards,
Red Pandas, Japanese Macaques, Bald Eagles and much more.

BVA wristband must be presented at gate.

Beer and
Wine Garden
Saturday, June 25th
will be Bike Virginia night atop Mill Mountain complete with
a catered dinner, entertainment and our first beer and wine
garden of the tour.
Cash
bar only. Proof of age must be
presented at time of purchase. Please have an ID available.
