Wade's Mill
(Rest Stop)
The mill is powered
by a 21-foot water wheel that is fed by a nearby stream (known
originally as Captain Joseph Kennedy's Mill Creek). Wade's
Mill is one of the few remaining flour mills that still produces
a wide variety of flours exclusively on mill stones. The mill
is on the National Register of Historic Places. For more information,

Orchardside
Yarn Shop (on route)
A little white yarn cottage with red shutters, situated on
a babbling brook, families of ducks and guineas waddling by,
a peacock heard just outside the window~not a new concept
but rarely seen~ come visit this charming little yarn shop.

Theater
at Lime Kiln
Theater
at Lime Kiln will offer 2 play nights to Bike Virginia
participants. They will offer Sing Down the Moon
on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 at
8:00 p.m. for a discounted ticket price
of $12 per person.
Sing Down the
Moon is a collection of Appalachian wonder tales put
to music from the award winning team from Washington, DC.
Winner of six Helen Hayes awards including Best New Musical!
Come out for a night of music with fun and familiar "Jack
Tales."
Tickets can be purchased
by calling the Theater at Lime Kiln at 540-463-3074 or at
the box office window. Limited number of tickets available.
Be sure to mention you are with Bike Virginia.
Hot-Air
Balloon Rides
Float
quietly over beautiful Rockbridge County. Relax with a ride
in a hot-air balloon - the experience of a lifetime.
Rides
will go up near sunrise and near sunset when the winds are
quietest, and always with the condition of "weather permitting."
Balloon rides available Sunday evening and Monday
and Tuesday a.m. and p.m. Balloons will most likely
take off near tent city and riders will be returned to the
same location.
Cost
will be $165 per person. Rides last approximately one hour.

Tube,
Canoe, or Kayak on the Maury River
Come
join James River Basin Canoe Livery for a relaxing float on
the Maury River. Tubing will be offered on Monday, June 27th
and Tuesday, June 28th. The cost for tubing will be $20 per
person. The price includes tax and transportation to and from
Tent City at Rockbridge County High School. Two trips per
day will be offered (See table below). There will be a 1PM
departure, returning to Tent City at 3:00PM and a 3:30PM departure,
returning to Tent City at 5:30PM. Please contact James River
Basin Canoe Livery directly to reserve your space. Limited
to 120 persons (30 each trip).

Natural
Bridge Tours
The Natural
Bridge trips will be offered on Monday, June 27th and Tuesday
June, 28th. The cost for admission will be $15.00 per person.
The price includes tax and transportation to and from Tent
City at Rockbridge County High School . One trip each day
will be offered (See table below). There will be a 2PM departure,
returning to Tent City at 6PM. Please email whall@bikewalkvirginia.org
to reserve your space on the shuttle. Please designate
the number in your party and which day you would like to visit
the Natural Bridge. Payment must be made at the Bike Virginia
Hospitality Tent prior to boarding the bus. Only cash or check
payments will be accepted. No credit cards please.
